BOROUGH OFFICES ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 27TH. POLICE AND PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEES WILL STILL REPORT TO WORK AS SCHEDULED. THE LIBRARY, COMMUNITY CENTER, AND PRESCHOOL ARE ALSO CLOSED. ALL BEFORE AND AFTERCARE PROGRAMS ARE CANCELLED.
The Governor has declared a State of Emergency for the entire State due to the impending blizzard. This means that all non-emergency traffic is banned from travelling on any roadways. Vehicles travelling on roadways during the State of Emergency may be ticketed or towed.
The impending storm is expected to bring high winds and up to 2 feet of snow. All residents are urged to stay indoors and off the roadways. The storm is predicted to intensify by 10 or 11 pm Monday night and bring heavy snow and wind through approximately 7 or 8 am Tuesday morning.
The Eatontown Emergency Services will be on stand-by and available for the entire event. Please notify the police department if you observe any wires down or any other dangerous conditions. Please do not call the police department to inquire about power being restored in the event of any outages or when your street will be plowed clear of snow.
There will be NO on street parking permitted until Thursday night. There will also be no garbage pickup on Tuesday, January 27th or recycling pick up on Wednesday, January 28th.
